Frequently Asked Questions

1

Do I need an initial consultation before starting and if so what does it look like?

Yes. All new patients must complete an initial consultation and baseline lab panel before starting any hormone therapy. This ensures your treatment plan is safe, effective, and customized to your needs. Your first visit is a 50 minute comprehensive appointment with a certified menopause & hormone specialist. We’ll review your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals, and create a personalized treatment plan.

2

What if I’m already optimized and just want you to take over my care?

Yes — we can continue hormone care for patients transferring from another provider. All new patients are required to complete an initial hormone consultation, which allows us to review your medical history, current regimen, and any recent lab work.

If your treatment is appropriate and your labs are up to date, we may be able to continue your current plan with minimal changes. Ongoing care is provided through an established follow-up structure to ensure safe monitoring and appropriate prescription management. We’ll review your options together during your lab review visit and determine the best next step based on your clinical needs and goals.

3

How much will my medications cost?

Medication costs vary based on your individualized treatment plan. In general, most hormone medications range from approximately $15–$90 per month. FDA-approved medications are preferred when appropriate, and some patients may benefit from compounded formulations for customized dosing. Medications are billed separately by the pharmacy, and all options are reviewed with you before prescriptions are sent.

4

What happens at Month 4 and beyond?

Hormone care is ongoing and individualized. After the initial 90-day optimization phase, patients transition into maintenance care, which focuses on continued symptom management, dose adjustments as needed, and safe prescription monitoring.

At that point, ongoing care is provided through either:

  • Concierge Hormone Optimization Membership, or

  • Scheduled visit-based follow-up care, depending on your preferences and clinical needs.

We’ll review your progress together and determine the best plan for continued care before the initial 90-day period ends, so there are no surprises.
